'I hope to encourage and extend' she says, 'but most of all I want people to write for the joy of it. I know how hard it can be to show your work for the first time and it is my belief that each artist, no matter where they are in terms of experience, should be able to share and discuss their ideas in a supportive environment. With this mantra in mind I set up the Writers Retreat in Portugal.'
